As a Florida Native Charlie grew up during a critical era for the DJ world. He was fortunate enough to have traveled all over Florida during the 90s and be part of a group that would later be referred to as club kids. In doing so, he experienced everything from up and coming DJ’s rise from performing in living rooms transform into major headliners participating in mainstage events. The culmination of that era and those unique experiences created Charlie Hustle.
Known for playing with passion and soul while refusing to follow the rule book for style allows him the full creative freedom to push the musical boundaries. Each Charlie Hustle set is completely unique, defined by the energy of the crowd, to take the listener on a musical journey. Always challenging himself and tossing aside melodic confines provides an exclusive trip for a feel-good voyage unmatched to anything previously experienced.
Beginnings
I began experimenting with music when I was 11 or 12; toying with songs off the radio onto a cassette player. I would record 2 tapes at once, that became my first real mix. It was several years before I would get an actual turntable, then there was no turning back. Soon I discovered electronic music, trance, house, and breaks. I could not get enough and was inspired by the ability to make the music anything you wanted. The rest is history.
